The Bradford Bulls Foundation Launches Walking Rugby for the Over-65s!

Walking Rugby

Due to Covid, many older people have suffered from isolation and loneliness, not to mention the negative effect on their physical wellbeing. Our FREE walking rugby project supports those aged over 65 to get and stay active in a safe and supported manner with the emphasis on fun, participation, and socialising. Weekly walking rugby sessions take place within the local community, using venues that are safe and accessible for participants.

The Bulls Foundation’s qualified coaches deliver the sessions and provide the minimal equipment required to set up the sessions, which are very light-touch rugby involving passing and catching.  Scoring does not require the ball to be touched down.

Sessions will run throughout the summer and are held at

Delph Hill Community Centre (BD12 8DL) on Tuesdays, 12.30-1.30pm,

and at Woodside Village Centre (BD6 2RZ) on Wednesdays, 12.30-1.30pm.
