Project 6 (Keighley)

Project 6 Logo

Project 6 is an award winning voluntary sector drug and alcohol charity based in Keighley.

Their core purpose is to provide opportunities and choices for individuals, families and communities to create meaningful and sustainable change in their well-being.

Recovery services aim to improve the lives of those in recovery from drug or alcohol related problems and their families by developing and realising their capacity for full and equal participation in community life.  A flavour of the help available from Project 6  is as follows:

Complex Needs

Keighley Pathways is a specialist support service for those who are facing challenges and feel that they may be at crisis point. The drop-in service has specialists in substance misuse, mental health, benefit advice, health and wellbeing and domestic violence.

ASIST

Alcohol Specialist Intervention Support Team provides pre and post discharge support to individuals who have been hospitalised because of problematic alcohol use.

Families

Maternity and Families Service provides ante and post-natal support to those mothers, and occasionally fathers, who are involved in drug or alcohol use. A significant amount of this work involves linking in with social care. Project 6 is an important team player in the Multi-agency antenatal Service based at Keighley Health Centre.

Family Support Service offers one to one and group support for parents and children as well as working with parents and children together.

Concerned Other Service works with those who are affected by someone else’s substance use. This can be either through group work utilising peer support or one to one sessions with our worker.
