RSPH Level 1 Health Awareness (RSPHHA021)

Suitable for: Anyone living or working in the Bradford district who would like to know more about health and wellbeing.

Cost: FREE

This training course is ACCREDITED and will take place face to face over one day. A short multiple choice assessment will be completed during the final part of the session.

Over the session, the course will cover:

• Understanding the meaning of ‘Health’
• Understanding the basic principles of Public Health
• Understanding the lifestyle choices affecting personal health and wellbeing
• Understanding how to manage personal health by working with health service providers
• Individual and population health
• Basic Public Health information
• Personal hygiene
• How to look after your mental health
• Protection from infection and preventable diseases
• Risks of lifestyle choice in substance misuse
• Work, health and wellbeing
• Active participation in managing health
• Working together with health service providers
• Understanding the lifestyle choices affecting personal health and wellbeing:
• Benefits of a healthy lifestyle
• Physical activity
• Healthy eating
