This training course is designed to equip frontline professionals with the knowledge, confidence, skills and ongoing resources to prevent gambling-related harms and support those affected. It is a 2-hour online training funded by Public Health supporting the Bradford Gambling Related Harm Group to work towards their priorities. Millions are affected by gambling related harms either directly or indirectly across the UK. There are many people who would benefit from gambling treatment or support that are currently not accessing it or even aware that support is available. Sadly, hundreds of people take their lives annually as harms are largely identified too late or not at all leaving people affected feeling isolated, alone and that they are to blame.
