Living Well Workplaces is a programme that provides the tools, resources and bespoke support for Bradford-based businesses to improve their wellbeing offer to their employees.
Employers play a vital role in creating a work environment that supports their team’s wellbeing. Living Well Workplaces aims to inspire and support employers to invest the time and care in supporting staff wellbeing.
The mission is to reduce sickness, improve employee retention, get people back into work and improve business for workplaces in Bradford. This all starts with looking after our workforce!
In 2024 there was a total of 148.9 million days lost to sickness in the UK. This cost UK businesses £22 billion.
The workplace is an important setting; people spend a significant portion of their lives at work. Workplaces have a responsibility in caring for their employee’s health and wellbeing. Caring, supportive workplaces help staff to be healthier and happier, with evidence that healthier teams can be more productive at work and have fewer sick days.
Living Well Workplaces will open the connection to health promotion resources and support, with the opportunity to access funding that will improve the wellbeing of your workforce and reputation as an organisation.
Workplaces come in all sizes and vary hugely in what they do, how and where staff work, and the legislation they need to follow.
We will work with you to understand the needs of your workplace, both for you as an employer and for your employees. Based on these needs, you will choose some key priority areas in which your workforce would like support. This will set out some clear goals and will show your staff that you are committed to supporting their wellbeing. Once you have selected priority areas, we will support you in both implementing them and providing continuous support.
There are 4 main priority areas that we can help with. Please click on these to read more about how you can create a healthier workplace. Once you’ve done this, its time to get in touch, our team and bespoke support are waiting.
Here is some information, simple guidance and important contacts should a victim of domestic abuse and sexual violence approach someone for support within your organisation.
