The Living Well Workplace Promise shows that you value your staff, that you are committed to supporting their wellbeing and creating a good, positive workplace environment. There are a range of different promises to choose from – or you can work with us to create your own! Workplaces of any type or size can sign up and take part. You can choose up to 3 workplace health promises, per year or start with a single promise if that feels right for you and your staff.
By taking part in the Living Well Workplace Promise, you will:
We will work with you to help you identify changes you can make in your workplace that will make a difference for your staff. We will continue to develop our offer of support to workplaces in the Bradford district, for example providing a newsletter and developing a staff and workplace survey.
We will listen to your views on how to create a healthier workplace environment, and identify priorities that we all agree with. We will work towards achieving these as part of the Living Well Workplace Promise.

Step 1. Talk to your team. This needs to be done sensitively. Do tell them that this is about what you as an employer can do to make the workplace environment more supportive of their health and wellbeing. Make sure people understand that it is not about asking people to tell you about their personal health status or needs.
Step 2. Make a plan. Select the workplace promise or promises that you think can make a difference for your staff and your workplace.
Step 3. Support and follow up. Keep in touch through our online Living Well Workplace Newsletter which will tell you about support that is available. Please sign up here for updates.
Step 4. Access training and other workplace health offers. You can access all our Living Well training through our Living Well Workplaces site. Please keep visiting for news stories, links and resources.
Step 5. Review your progress and carry on. After the first year, we will support you to look back at your progress and encourage you to choose one or more new Workplace Promises to gain more benefits for your team and your workplace,
