Bradford School Immunisation Team
The primary aim of the Service is to promote and deliver school age immunisations and vaccinations across Bradford, Airedale Wharfedale and Craven. The team also aim to increase vaccine uptake through various health promotion activities and deliver planned immunisation/vaccination sessions within schools and community-based clinics. Home visits are also conducted for children who may have additional needs or requirements and need to be in familiar surroundings, these children may also be very anxious.
The main vaccines delivered are:
• Nasal Flu spray or the porcine free injection alternative
• Human Papillomavirus vaccination (HPV) from Year 8
• Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio (DTP) booster, and the Meningitis ACWY vaccinations from Year 9
• Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR)
