The Emotional Wellbeing offer enables schools to foster a supportive culture where emotional wellbeing is integrated into every aspect of the school system. By addressing the unique needs of every child, schools can create an environment where children and young people can thrive. This holistic approach will result in numerous positive outcomes, such as improved attendance, attainment, behaviour and resilience, helping students to navigate challenges and succeed both within and beyond the school environment.
Living Well Schools work with Senior Mental Health Leads in schools, offering flexible support to enhance emotional wellbeing provision. This support includes:
Living Well Schools acts as the navigator of Emotional Wellbeing provision for Bradford Schools. Our approach aligns with priorities from the Children and Young People’s Strategy 2023-2025 whereby we support schools in embedding an ATR approach, help children build resilience and reduce inequalities in social and emotional development and mental health.
Bradford Council Public Health team recently conducted a Children and Young People’s Mental Health Needs Assessment 2024 which highlights the significance of mental
health impacts during childhood, as well as its cumulative effects across the whole life course. Living Well Schools continues to promote a whole school approach to emotional wellbeing following recommendations from the Needs Assessment.
