Child Bereavement UK’s mission is to ensure the accessibility of high-quality child bereavement support and information for families and professionals. Outside of their home, a nursery, school, college, or university is often the most important consistent influence on the development of children and young people. Therefore, there are significant opportunities to promote resilience and well-being.
Local Bradford offer:
- 1:1 support to children and young people following the bereavement of any relationship, within any timescale
- 1:1 and couples support for adults bereaved of a child of any age, this can be through any cause or timescale since the bereavement. This extends to grandparents/aunts/uncles as well as parents
- Family and sibling support sessions
- Pre-bereavement support is offered to children and families when someone is not expected to live beyond 6 months. This is offered with no waiting list.
- Training to professionals. Drop-in school support in response to a student or staff death is offered with immediate response
