GoodGym

TaskForce are the GoodGymers who go the extra mile, to organise 30-60 minute tasks for community groups that need a hand. TaskForce provide a warm welcome to new GoodGymers, encouraging them to attend sessions and cultivate a sense of community amongst their group.

Tasks could include:

  • Shovelling compost in a school allotment to enable children to grow food
  • Sorting donations at a food bank to make sure food can be distributed to those who need it
  • Planting trees in a park to increase green space and biodiversity

You’ll enable hundreds, maybe thousands of hours of support for projects you care about.

❤️ You will increase well-being and improve fitness opportunities for people in Bradford.

✅ You will enable hundreds of hours of voluntary support to your chosen community projects.

  •  You will improve the environment and biodiversity by helping green spaces.

We provide free, comprehensive training to learn how to find organisations to work with, build your community, and list volunteering opportunities on our online portal.

Once you’re trained, we ask that TaskForce contribute to their area just once every month, either by organising a session or by doing one of the other things listed above. GoodGym can fit around your schedule. Most sessions happen outside working hours but you can arrange them for whenever works for you.

No special skills are required, but it is a brilliant opportunity to use any talents you might have. Green fingers? Great links to the community? A dab hand at painting walls? You’ll have a chance to showcase all of this and more at GoodGym, and if you don’t it’s a great way to pick up new skills! There will also be the chance to train up as a fitness leader if you’d like to encourage others to get more active. We are a UK-wide community of people who use our exercise for good. Join GoodGym TaskForce get help for local projects you care about.
