Funded offer: Veg Power – Eat Them to Defeat Them 2026 – Schools Programme
Bradford Council public health have teamed up with Veg Power to offer the multi-award-winning Eat Them to Defeat Them programme to schools in Bradford, starting in March 2026.
Eat Them to Defeat Them returns for an eighth year and is a programme for primary aged, special and PRU/AP schools which encourages children to eat more veg by making it fun.
Key dates:
- 23rd February: Physical resource delivered to your school
- 2nd March: Eat Them to Defeat Them officially launches
Please remember, the ETDT programme is designed to be flexible to suit your school. They provide enough participation stickers for five whole-school veg tasting events. You can run it over a whole term or just one week. For schools with Muslim pupils, you may want to run it after Ramadan.
The programme includes:
- lesson plans
- activities
- caterers support
- and take-home resources for families
To find out more and sign up, please register your school onto the Veg Power platform by Saturday 14th February (spaces are limited): Eat Them to Defeat Them – Veg Power
- To register you will need: appropriate member of staff email and school details including; name, address, pupil numbers, MAT and caterer.
- If your school has previously participated in Veg Power campaigns, the registered user will need to login and click that they wish to participate in ‘Eat Them to Defeat Them 26’ programme from the drop down menu.
We are expecting a high demand for this funded programme and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
