- Bupropion (Zyban) (subject to suitability following assessment)
Smoking continues to be a leading cause of preventable illness and death, with a disproportionate impact on more disadvantaged communities across the district.
Stop smoking medicines are highly effective at helping people quit smoking by reducing cravings, managing withdrawal symptoms, and blocking the pleasurable effects of nicotine.
By combining medication with 1:1 support, we offer smokers the best possible chance of quitting for good, helping to reduce health inequalities and support people to live longer, healthier lives.
Please note the service is free but charges may apply if you usually pay for your prescriptions.
Living Well is working in partnership with Bradford Care Alliance and Modality to provide these treatments, in line with NICE guidance (NG209). Together, Living Well and Bradford Care Alliance are committed to supporting people across Bradford to quit smoking and improve their health.
