The Shared Spaces Project

Promoting social cohesion is crucial not only for society at large but also for supporting our future generations to thrive.

The Shared Spaces project, led by the University of Bristol and supported by Bradford City Council, aims to develop a new understanding of the things that influence whether or not young people choose to interact with people from different groups with the hope of later informing policy and practice on social cohesion in Bradford and beyond.

We would love your school to take part by facilitating the completion of an online (or paper) survey amongst your aged 14-16 students during school time. The survey will take about 30-40 minutes in total and all students who complete will get a £10 voucher to say thank you and schools will be given £500 to thank them for supporting.

At the end of the project we will produce bespoke reports for each participating school. If you would like more information or are interested in taking part, please contact Shelley McKeown Jones (s.mckeownjones@bristol.ac.uk)
