Bradford Encouraging Exercise in People (BEEP) is a free physical activity referral service that encourages people who are inactive, to become more active, with a 52 week support programme.
BEEP is also a great way for people living with long term health conditions to increase their physical activity levels and improve their health.

Ask at your local GP practice for a referral to the BEEP service. Your GP, nurse or any other health care professional can complete a referral form for you.
BEEP consultations are held every day in GP surgeries, leisure centres and council facilities across Bradford district making it easier for everyone to find somewhere that’s local to them.
You will meet one of our expert exercise referral officers who will ask you questions about your health and lifestyle and take some measurements to complete a health screening assessment, these include:
Your exercise referral officer will use these results to track your progress throughout the year. They will create a bespoke exercise training programme which is created specifically for you. After your consultation, you may also be offered discounted exercise options.

There are physical activity guidelines covering all ages published by the UK Chief Medical Officer. These guidelines focus on being active every day and give the recommended minimum levels of activity for each age group.
